Fred Eaglesmith custom “RUST & PAINT CHIP” Splatter Vinyl release coming soon!

July 6, 2017

We are excited to be in the final test pressing stages for the Vinyl Release of the latest album “Standard” by the iconic and prolific Fred Eaglesmith. Ball Media has worked closely with the Eaglesmith team on the design and manufacturing of the CD (released earlier this year) and now the one-of-a-kind vinyl art!

Each record will be unique with the “Rust & Paint Chip” Splatter effect!

A little about Fred Eaglesmith:

In music business terms, Fred Eaglesmith operates off the grid. His albums come out prolifically and his loyal audience continues to follow his live shows and witness the ever-touring roots troubadour on his travels. With 42 years on the road, 22 studio albums, and 11 buses later he has made some ground.

Eaglesmith tends to mix things up musically from album to album, and Standard is no different.  Co-produced with Tif Ginn, the singer and multi-instrumentalist who has been a close collaborator for a while now, many of the songs here (“Twin City Mini”, “Old Machine”, “Thermostat” and “Steam”) are love songs to machinery, of the old kind, and Eaglesmith’s genuine affection is palpable. His winning way with a line remains, as with “The flames sure look pretty but they sure do burn” (“Flames”) and “Icicles drift off your soffits, I had a dream but I lost it” (“Off the Dam”). His rugged and resonant voice is still in top shape, too, and the instrumental work of his regular sidemen is top-notch.

Standard is yet another worthy addition to any discography with few equals in roots music.

Looking forward to a one-of-a-kind limited edition vinyl, from a one-of-a-kind artist!
